My Top 3 Furnished Hotel Apartments in Toronto

So if you like to visit places for extended periods of time and get bang for your buck, hotel apartments are always a more economical way to get around.

I consider myself a Torontonian, and spend tons of time in the city whenever I get time off work. If you’re visiting, it’s great to be either bang in the middle of Yonge and Bay Street, or around the downtown core. So here are my top three furnished hotel apartments for an extended stay (in no particular order) :

1. Urban Living Suites, Dundas Street West
Location-wise, this furnished apartment makes for a great place to stay during the summer months. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and you’re minutes away from Little Italy, Chinatown and the ever so famous Queen Street West. The downtown core is barely ten minutes away by street car, and they come every couple of minutes during the week so you’re good to go. The only thing to note here is that they do not have a phone in the rooms, but you can always request for one prior to your arrival. I personally didn’t need one as it’s super easy to get a prepaid sim in Toronto.

2. Toronto Suites, St Clair & Yonge
I do have a personal bias towards Toronto Suites as the management is amazing and they go out of their way to make me feel at home every time I stay there. Yonge Street is the place to be, and St Clair is a cosy neighbourhood that’s close but just far enough from the madness that is the downtown core. It is perfect for a quiet getaway if you like long walks in a safe neighbourhood. And when you do wish to venture in to the downtown core, St Clair subway station is a five minute walk away.

3. Cambridge Suites, Richmond Street East

One of my personal favourites, this is the closest you can get to a hotel with a homely atmosphere. This is a great place  to stay if you’re travelling for business and plan to bring your family with you. It takes less than five minutes to get to Dundas Square and the Eaton Centre. If it is warm enough, you can even take a stroll down to the Toronto Harbourfront where you’ll find tons of activities and restaurants to try. That being said, they don’t have a full kitchenette, and being in such a prime location does mean a little more of a splurge. But hey, if it suits your budget, why not?

While the aforementioned are tried and tested, I can safely say that Toronto is one of the easiest cities to find a decent furnished hotel-apartment to stay in.
