Restaurant Name… Toko
Location… Vida Hotel, Downtown Dubai
Perfect for.. date night, snack time, ladies night out, …
What we Ordered… Brussel sprouts, beef steamed buns, chicken katsu open steamed buns, lamb chops, wagyu beef steak(medium), rice…
What Impressed…
The ambience has a duality. It’s sophisticated but relaxed. People are typically well dressed but you feel perfectly comfortable in your casuals. It’s always great to see servers in a 5 star restaurant in Dubai be friendly where the objective is ‘how do I optimize the experience of the people in front of me?’
The meat quality is one of the best that I’ve seen in the UAE. Hubby and I rank their wagyu steak with my personal favorite Lexington Grill at Waldorf Astoria RAK.
What Depressed
No drinks on the front side of the restaurant! Fair enough though, they have a second outdoor space within the restaurant and it is absolutely mystical when you walk through.
The Verdict…
Would I pay AED 200 for wagyu striploin knowing that there are other steaks out there that are bigger in size and just as good in taste? – ABSOLUTELY. This meal was spectacular in every manner and worth every fil.
Always remember to tip your server!
