Our server was pleasant and aesthetically the restaurant is kind to the eyes.
What Depressed…
As soon as you sit down you realize the seats are uncomfortable. While the food doesn’t take long to reach the table, it’s easy to tell why. The flavours (right down to the dipping sauce) is bland and average. There is absolutely nothing that excites about the food. The katsu curry left a somewhat stale and bitter aftertaste. For the Karaage there was nothing blatantly wrong but yet again there is little that differentiates it with any normal fried chicken. The cherry on top for the food bit was asking for some extra sweet chili sauce and being given the equivalent of half a tablespoon.
All of the above comes from someone who walked in starving.
